My mind as of late has been zipping in many directions. I believe that the flood has a great to do with that. Moving to Minot last September was a new adventure and the Souris River has certainly kept me on my toes. Though the flood waters spared us it has been difficult and sad to see all of the homes lost. I wish there was something I could do to change what is done. The fact of the matter is that what is done is done and there are thousands displaced. Minot will come together as was done during the evacuations and rebuild lives and homes. It is beautiful to see the community present during such a time of sorrow.
As for the "HOT House" there is a small among of sewage seeping into the basement giving us a fair amount of tasks to accomplish throughout this summer. The flood waters stopped less than a block south from us. There is nothing else to be said other than we are blessed.
Life has been stressful lately. Not that I can complain but I have some undeniable anxiety that has hung over my head at all times this past week or so. PMS? Maybe. I still hate that my heart races when I am sitting still. This time of year always makes me homesick. The 4th of July is right around the corner followed by my mom's birthday (July 8th) and my birthday (July 11th). July has always been spent on the Lake. On the pontoon with a cold one and some grilled steak. That is my July. I suppose this will suffice.
Tonight I am going to get lots of sleep and tomorrow will be a better day.
